What I've actually delivered.

Not a list of keywords — real problems, the approach taken, and what came out of it, including when it wasn't perfect.

Operations & digital transformation manager

Strategic sourcing first, then internal digital solutions.

🏗️ Canam Ponts — 2023 to 2026

Official title: Advisor - Strategic Sourcing & Digital Solutions

The official title covers strategic sourcing. The real scope of responsibilities expanded to designing and building cross-department digital solutions — described below.

My role at Canam has two sides that coexist: strategic sourcing and continuous improvement from day one, and building digital solutions for real operational problems — neither at the expense of the other.

🏆 Main case studyMulti-department digital platform

Problem
Seven distinct functions — production, quality, planning, estimating, finance, procurement, field operations — worked with scattered data and tools, with no common platform to share information.
Context
Each department had its own needs and its own data history, with no one owning the cross-department view.
Approach
Analyzed each department's needs and identified common pain points — information access, automation, visibility — rather than a top-down imposed solution.
Decision
Design a common internal platform rather than adding a system per department, to avoid duplication and provide common access governance. The alternatives formally evaluated before this decision are not documented.
Solution
Internal services and shared dashboards across the seven functions, with role-based structured access.
Technology
Next.jsPythonSQLBigQueryREST APIsOAuthRBAC
Governance
Role-based access control (OAuth/RBAC) built into the design, not added afterward. An associated RAG solution applies the same principle: authorization before retrieval — see below.
Result
A functional internal platform covering seven functions — not a full ERP, a set of shared services and dashboards. No adoption or time-savings metric was formally measured.

Other achievements

Strategic sourcing and continuous improvement

Market analysis, RFQ/RFP process management, negotiation, and supplier relationships — the foundation of the role, still active.

End-to-end automation of MTR analysis

Mill test reports (MTRs) received by email from steel manufacturing mills were reviewed manually. I designed a solution that automates collection, supplier identification, chemical composition data extraction, compliance rule checks, and alert generation.

🔍 A working solution, built solo. After I left, it wasn't picked up by the organization — the code still lives in my personal GitHub. A lesson I now apply everywhere: a solution's longevity depends as much on documentation and knowledge transfer as on technical quality.

Machine capacity and planning solution

Turned equipment capacity and availability data into a usable base for operations planning.

RAG solution with authorization before retrieval

Contextual access to internal knowledge on the platform, built on one non-negotiable principle: access control is enforced before content is retrieved, not after — so a model can never return information the user isn't authorized to see.

🚌 Autobus Québec Métro / Sogesco School Transport — 2018 to 2023

Official title: Senior Director - Quebec Branches

Before Canam: multi-site leadership, team management, maintenance, health & safety, field communication — the foundation everything since has built on.

Operational continuity and preventive maintenance

Operational management through COVID-19 (continuity, rapid adaptation, communication under uncertainty) and structuring preventive maintenance planning by vehicle/period.

LeadershipOperational continuityMaintenance planning

Field communication and pragmatic digital transformation

Set up SMS communication with drivers and new employee communication channels — solving a real need first, adding technology second.

Field communicationPragmatic digital transformation

Health & safety and field improvements

Identified and fixed risks observed on site — pit, staircase, electrical connections, connectors.

Driver experience, recognition, and retention

Improved recruitment (including referral hiring), seating, a recognition program, and an attendance bonus.

Commercial standardization and infrastructure

Standardized charter trip rates and improved infrastructure/parking for operational capacity.

Designing and shipping a product end-to-end, alone.

🚀 FlowSOP — own product, solo founder

Digital standard operating procedure (SOP) and field execution software, designed, built, and launched solo — since September 2025.

FlowSOP — own product, solo founder

Business problem: subcontractor task progress had no real-time visibility from the office. FlowSOP replaces paper checklists with guided mobile procedures with photo proof, real-time tracking, audit-ready reports, and offline support in limited-connectivity conditions.

Field Work Should Be This Simple

Field work doesn't need complicated administration. Create the work. Send it to the field. Track what's happening. Stay informed. Simple for the field, visible for management.

Making cross-department information actually accessible.

🧩 FlowSOP Nexus — separate project, actively in development

A prototype multi-department platform — information access, document management, and email automation — deployed on Google Cloud Run. A separate project from FlowSOP, still in development.

FlowSOP Nexus interface — Sales, Procurement, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Knowledge, Management departments🚧 Actively in development

The biggest challenge in a company is often not a lack of information, but access to the right information at the right time, across people and departments. Nexus explores how document digitization, a RAG system, and email automation can make that information — including the often-neglected history of strategic decisions — actually usable.

A note

Some achievements above don't carry a quantified metric (time, cost, precision) — because none was formally measured, not because I'd rather leave it out. I'd rather give an honest qualitative result than an invented percentage.

Describe the current situation — a real operational problem is enough to start.
